Sharon decided to run for Legislator in Oswego County District 23 after seeing what little the Oswego County Legislature did and more so not do in regards to the Erin Maxwell case, the eleven year old girl that met a tragic death in Palermo, August 2008.
The Fulton City School District’s big building project is back on track after several weeks of coping with asbestos discoveries that brought pieces of the project to a dead stop. But the asbestos-related slowdown that put the football team on the road may now threaten next spring’s track season.
Recently, Rotarian Sharon Foster, right, introduced Jenna Doherty, a G. Ray Bodley High School Sophomore who was selected to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) held this year at Cazenovia College on July 10 – 12.  The RYLA program, a 3-day camp organized by District 7150 Rotarians, enables young people to learn and develop leadership and communication skills while having fun and making new friends. Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.
Oswego County residents have until Sept. 30 to drop household hazardous waste items off at the county collection facility at the Bristol Hill transfer station. The facility is open Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 to 11 a.m., through Sept. 30.
