Laker Student-Athletes to Rake Leaves for Senior Citizens Oct. 25
Now in its fifth year at SUNY Oswego, the project is part of an annual statewide community-service project by Student-Athlete Advisory Council chapters at all 11 SUNY Athletic Conference colleges. SAAC’s mission is to generate a student-athlete voice among Oswego’s 24 intercollegiate teams and to enhance school spirit within athletics.
Rotarians Hear About Oswego Health
Jeff Coakley, left, Vice President of Strategic Services at Oswego Health, was introduced by Rotarian David Nethercott at a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting. Jeff presented information about Oswego Health, Inc., a corporation that constitutes an integrated, comprehensive healthcare system and provides many services to Oswego County and neighboring counties. The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton’s Riverside Inn.

Nine Mile Point 1 nuclear power plant shut down safely Monday because of a balky system to circulate water in the nuclear plant’s reactor.
