The Oswego State womenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s hockey team struggled offensively as it fell to non-conference Hamilton 5-0 on Tuesday night in Clinton, N.Y. The Lakers trailed 2-0 heading into the third period, but allowed three goals in the final period in the loss. Laura DiCarlo led the Continentals with two goals and an assist. Oswego State fell to 5-9-0 on the season, while Hamilton improved to 5-6-2 overall.

Fulton Teen Found Guilty Of Misdemeanors

The jury came back with a not guilty on the only felony charge Robby Guppy faced. He was charged with beating and burning his infant daughter in 2008.

Fulton Man Indicted In Cayuga County

The Fulton man accused of the road rage death of an Onondaga County man last year will be arraigned on Jan. 28 in Cayuga County Court. According to a spokesperson for the Cayuga County DA’s Office, a grand jury today returned a 15-count indictment against William L. Levea, 79.

Oswego High School Sports Teams Win

Sports action has been in full swing in the Oswego City School District as the basketball teams are coming off victories while the bowling team continues to roll along. Meanwhile the swimming team continues to be solid in the pool and the hockey teams have been competitive.

More than 4,000 snowmobile racers, owners and spectators are expected to take part in the tenth annual Great Eastern Whiteout Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 12, 13, and 14 at the Fulton War Memorial on NYS Route 3. The vintage snowmobile show and races are hosted by the Fulton Area Snowmobile Travelers (FAST).

Gov. Paterson’s plan to fill a massive hole in the state budget consists, in part, of blowing holes in thousands of smaller budgets across the state.Ã‚Â His plan to cut education aid, for example, just about doubled the size of the deficit the Fulton City School District is trying to fill.
