Do This Saturday: Kick Off Hannibal’s Anniversary

The Hannibal Beautification Committee has been busy designing new  banners in celebration of the village's sesquicentennial anniversary.   The banner depicts the downtown area around 1860 when people came into  town with their horse and buggies. The 10 new banners will be hung this  weekend to help kick-off the official celebration.  Pictured from left  inside the gazebo are Rosey Emmons, Ann Mahaney, Diane Miller, and Karen  White.  In front are Virginia Wilbur, Dawn Greenleaf, and Sandy  Blanchard.  Missing from photo are Sharon Moody and Lynn Waloven.

Hannibal turns 150 on Saturday and will throw a party to celebrate.

The village begins its sesquicentennial celebration Saturday afternoon by unveiling a new book on the village’s history.  The book is called “Pictorial History of Hannibal, NY” by town and village historian and former Mayor Lowell Newvine.

Earth Week Promises Joy, Work, Exhibitions, Debates at SUNY Oswego

The campus will fill with interesting season seasonal scenes: Electric and fuel cell vehicles purring along campus streets. Students dressed all in white chasing each other with powdered pigments. Athletes running on bright green grass maintained with sustainable methods.
