The workshop will take place on Thursday, May 6 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Oswego County BOCES, 179 Co Rt 64 in Mexico. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will present the workshop, with the support of Oswego County BOCES.

More state aid should be driven to low-wealth districts than high-wealth districts. Many of the school districts in my Assembly district are low-wealth school districts and therefore are heavily reliant on state aid. When state aid is cut, they feel the cut more acutely than high wealth school districts because of their high dependency on state aid.

Oswego Children’s Theater to Present “Juvie” at the Harms Theater Festival

Local Quilters Make and Donate Pillowcases to Oswego Hospital
When the call went out from the American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine for quilters to make and donate one million pillowcases, a group of longtime quilting friends sewed nearly 100 colorful pillowcases that they donated to Oswego Hospital for use by pediatric surgery patients.

Owens Applauds Extension of Unemployment Benefits
The legislation also prevents a 21 percent cut to doctors who treat Medicare patients and extends COBRA subsidies that the unemployed rely on for health care.
