State Sen. Darrel J. Aubertine today heralded news that public outcry has forced the Department of Environmental Conservation to delay any action on its proposed regulations for Outdoor Wood Boilers until at least the Spring of 2011.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for alumni to connect with the new class, and for employers and community members to learn more about the program,” said Jeff Grimshaw, director of the Leadership Oswego County program and assistant director of the Office of Business and Community Relations.
This workshop is part of the Cornell University Maple Program and is being conducted by Mr. Stephen Childs, NYS Maple Extension Specialist from Cornell University. It will feature training and hands-on experience in make maple confections.
Raymond L. MacDougall, 63, of Oswego, died Sunday at Oswego Hospital after a brief illness.
Our state has the bad habit of mandating that programs and services and their associated costs be covered by local municipalities. While this has enabled the state to keep the costs of these programs from impacting the state budget, they put substantial stress on property owners who have to pay property taxes to pay for these mandated programs.
