Harborfest Holds First-Ever Dodgeball Event

School Lunches Going Up a Nickel in Hannibal

A school lunch will cost a nickel more this coming year in the Hannibal Central School District.

The five cent increase was approved by the Board of Education during a discussion of whether to raise the price by ten cents instead.

Oswego County’s Canal Locks Closed by High Water

This weekend’s heavy rains have forced the state to close the locks along the Oswego Canal.

The locks in Phoenix, Fulton, Minetto and Oswego will stay closed until water levels subside.

Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Trip to India

At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Doug Stevens, left,  introduced Evan Kurtz and his wife Tracy , both members of the Dryden Rotary Club.  Evan presented a slide show of his two week visit to India as part of the Rotary National Immunization Day team for the fight against Polio.  This program is funded by the World health Organization, UNICEF, Center for Disease Control, the Bill Gates Foundation and Rotary International allowing people from all over the world, ages 15 -to 70, to participate in the dispensing of the vaccine.   The Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Doug Stevens, left, introduced Evan Kurtz and his wife Tracy, both members of the Dryden Rotary Club.

Hannibal Village Time Capsule Reburied

Duane Shepard, member of the Hannibal Village Board, and Fred Kent, Mayor of the Village of Hannibal are shown tightening the bolts on the top of the time capsule in preparation for burial. As part of the Village of Hannibal’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, a time capsule that had been buried for 50 years in the Hannibal Village Square, was dug up on July 10.
