Dads and Daughters Enjoy Ice Cream Social at Granby

Granby Elementary School second grade student Leah Mansfield enjoys a game of Candyland with her dad, Chad Mansfield, Sr., during the recent Granby Father’s Day Social. An obvious expert at the board game, Leah was quick to share with other guests that she beat her dad at the game three times in a row. The Granby Parent Teacher Group sponsored the social event for students and their dads, serving ice cream sundaes and providing a variety of board games for the attendees to play in pairs or in groups with other dads and daughters. Buc Athletes Sign Up For College Action

OHS athletes sign college letters of intent.

A trio of Oswego High School student-athletes signed letters of intent recently. They are  Chris Pike (Gannon), Lacey Brown (Pfeiffer University) and Sean Stegemoller (Canisius). Pike will play football, Brown lacrosse and Stegemoller will swim at the college level.

Credit Union Supports Firefighters’ Drive For A Cure

The Oswego City Firefighters Association will hold its fourth annual golf tournament to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The tournament is a four-man captain and crew. It will be held at the Tamarack Golf Club on July 10 at 9 a.m.

Fulton CYO Gets Ready For Summer Recreation Program

Participants in last year’s Catholic Charities’ CYO Summer Drop-in Recreation Program enjoyed going to the Fulton YMCA for a swim. This year’s program begins July 5.

The CYO Summer Drop-in Recreation Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County will begin July 5 and continue through Aug. 12. The program is offered free of charge to children ages 7 to 14 in Oswego County and is held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
