Oswego’s Bookmobile makes a stop May 31 — launch day for the bright vehicle acquired from Reynoldsville, Ohio — at SUNY Oswego, which is collaborating with the Oswego YMCA and the Oswego City School District to bring summer reading to students throughout the city in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Thanks to the efforts of the Fulton Noontime Rotary Club, the CYO program now has a new computer / game room where youth can use one of the several computers, enjoy board games and card games, or just spend time visiting and making new friends.

Thanks to the tremendous support we received from the community we were able to distribute hundreds of books to children along the parade route. It was wonderful to see the expressions on their faces and the appreciation of the parents.

On their first day back from the patriotic Memorial Day holiday, Fairgrieve Elementary School students were greeted by a special visit from Fulton City Mayor Ronald Woodward.
A giant check for $800 was presented by the school to the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation to assist in the fight against childhood cancers on behalf of Fulton’s own, Tim Conners.

When asked how the rain was affecting his farm’s crops, Jeff Halstead of Halstead’s Harvest summed it up with: “One word. Terrible.” Other farmers, all across the county, feel the same way.
Dominica “Dee” Jung, 82, of Oswego, and formerly of Stuart, Florida passed away June 1, 2011 at St. Luke Health Service.
Dexter W. Owens, 67 and a resident of 213 Syracuse Ave., Oswego passed away Sunday evening at Upstate Medical University Center.
