Peter S. Perry, 40 a resident of Route 48 South, Fulton, NY and beloved son of John and Evelyn Balcom of Oswego died Tuesday May 31 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Robbinsville, NC.

Black Bear Spotted On Port City’s Outskirts
It was first spotted on Wednesday at a County Route 1A residence about a mile east of Novelis. He stayed for about an hour before heading back into the woods. There were a couple reports of the bear walking through St. Paul’s Cemetery on Oswego’s east side on Thursday. A witness said it walked through the cemetery and then ran off into the woods.
Writing Awards For KPS Students

Tony Beckett, team leader, for the Group Study Exchange Team from England, spoke to the members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary at their Thursday meeting. An operational police officer with the Greater Manchester Police, he works in the inner city areas of the city of Salford.

The CYO program offers a safe, well-supervised, friendly environment where youth can participate in a variety of programs that promote positive development including an after school program, a mentoring program, summer recreation, and a Saturday drop-in program that offers youth the opportunity for healthy interaction with their peers.
Artist Carol Burghart Featured At Lakeside Artisans During June
Burghart teaches watercolor painting in her own home. She loves passing on what she has learned, exchanging ideas and learning from other artists. Lakeside Artisans is located at 193 W. First St., in Canal Commons.
