In commemoration of the 67th anniversary of D-Day, the H. Lee White Marine Museum is hosting a special event on Saturday, June 4, 2011, beginning at 1 pm. The Museum is located at the end of the West First Street Pier, in Oswego.
Author and illustrator Matt McElligott shared an important message about the benefits of hard work and determination during a recent visit to Granby Elementary School.
On Tuesday May 24th, five employees from Key Bank in Oswego left their offices at noon, traded their work attire for jeans and a company shirt, and headed to Oswego County Head Start Pre-K. These volunteers spent their afternoon mulching, gardening, and spreading stone at the program’s Oswego Center.
The event is focused on youth bicycle education and safety and there will be other information and attractions including three air hop rides, free food and drinks and face painting. The event will be held rain or shine.
Fulton Police say a Palermo man had four pounds of marijuana in his home when they searched it this week.
As a result, Jason M. Puma of 488 Red Schoolhouse Rd. was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.
Barenaked Ladies will be the featured headliner on Friday, July 29 with local favorite Frostbit Blue opening for the popular Canadian alternative rockers. Frostbit Blue will take the stage beginning at 7:30 PM, followed by Barenaked Ladies at 9:30 PM.
The top 100 students are honored at a breakfast. Also today, the baseball team finishes on a high note, and it was a wild month for weather.
