Volunteers at All Saints Episcopal Church’s Tuesday night dinner program spent time recently processing a bountiful harvest of local vegetables and fruit for use in future meals.

Students from the SUNY Oswego Adopt-A-Grandparent Program have been visiting residents at St. Luke Health Services regularly to work on various projects together and to enjoy each other’s company.

Responsive Classroom is an approach to teaching and learning that fosters each student’s growth academically as well as socially and emotionally.

On Monday at American Legion Post 268, NY Commander W. Michael Bowen and other dignitaries visited Oswego. They visited the 5th district, which Oswego County is part of. Oswego and Hannibal American legions were chosen for the visit.

Opening its doors in March of this year after winning the Next Great Idea Business Plan Competition, Lakeside Artisans, located in Canal Commons, has moved forward and taken over the space formally occupied by Mr. John’s Flowers.

After a stop at Midtown Plaza, zombies age 21 and over are welcome to continue to the Raven Pub, 39 Bridge St., to see such haunting cinema as the roller derby/zombie romantic comedy “Eight Wheels of Death” and other zombie-themed fare.
