House Destroyed by Fire, Three Hospitalized

66 Liberty Street__003UPDATED 12:05 p.m.:  The probable cause of the house fire this morning at 66 Liberty St in Oswego appears to be accidental and associated to cooking on the stove, according to Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie.  While the investigation is not complete, at this time that appears to be the cause.

One person, a three-year-old, was taken to Oswego Hospital and transferred to Upstate in Syracuse to be treated for smoke inhalation, Fire Chief Jeff McCrobie told Oswego County Today. Two adults were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Circus Back In Town At Leighton

Jason Proud prepares to spin a record in a quite different way than the disk jockeys of the 1960s.This year “Circus Kids Production Program” visited the Oswego school and once again the thrill of accomplishing a circus style act was achieved by each and every sixth grader. The supportive Frederick Leighton Elementary Home and School Association once again coordinated the appearance of this unique and entertaining program.
