Members of the SUNY Oswego Lakers Women’s Ice Hockey team demonstrated their support for the United Way of Greater Oswego County by volunteering to serve soup during the United Way’s Annual Stone Soup Luncheon.
To achieve certification, Lamb attended a week-long training program presented by the National Family Development Credentialing Program, in Ithaca.
The Oswego Association of Business & Professional Women have presented a monetary donation to the Human Concerns Center to help purchase holiday foods.
Admission is free and children will enjoy a variety of games and contests as well as making Christmas crafts. The party will also feature refreshments, treats and a visit from a very special guest!
Ashley Cowden, who works for the Riverview Wellness Center, talked to the members of the Oswego Sunrise Rotary about nutrition. The center was opened in 2002 by Ashley’s mother. At Thursday’s meeting, she told the Rotarians that “when we feel good we can be at our best.”

Donald M. Abrams, 84 of Fulton died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Sunrise Nursing Home, Oswego.
