Beverly J. LaVeck, 84; formerly of Fulton died at the Carolina Medical Center, North Carolina.

The principal of Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School has been demoted in an administrative shake-up.
Brian Buchanan will serve as a secondary assistant principal at the high school and will receive a reduced salary beginning January 30. He has been replaced by former junior high head Donna Parkhurst.
OMS seventh south students received a unique opportunity as they were involved in a day long DNA Fingerprinting Lab with a Cornell University professor. Teacher Catherine Celeste said, “This was a wonderful opportunity for students to use equipment to extract real DNA, cut it up and run it through an electric current to determine results.”
Whitney Ford jumped over the competition while the bowling team struck again and the hockey team iced yet another win as the Bucs sports action continued. Meanwhile the jayvee girls’ basketball team chalked up win number six on the year.
