The Fulton YMCA Speed Demons traveled to Auburn recently to swim against the Auburn Stingrays. During the meet, Fulton swimmer Michael Mankiewicz qualified to compete in the YMCA New York State meet to be held in Buffalo in March.

At the Great Eastern Whiteout there was a bit of “white” out on the ground. However, it was nowhere near the usual layers of crisp white snow usually present in Fulton in February. The War Memorial was full of snow sport enthusiasts, vendors, and plenty of parts for sale for those in attendance. But, their hopes for the main event of the day, the snowmobile races, were dashed by the inadequate weather.
Samantha Muller of Oswego, a sophomore majoring in business studies, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2011 semester at Clarkson University. Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.
