OHS Hockey Teams Wins Section III Championship
The Oswego High School boys’ hockey team could not have picked a better time to have one of the best games of the year. On Saturday, at the Utica Auditorium the Oswego High School Bucs dominated Skaneateles with a 5-0 win enroute to the Section III Division II Championships.
For those who would like to have a preview, Rudy’s will be serving the next Salvation Army Guest Chef dinner on March 7, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. They will be preparing some of their popular sea foods, including clams, scallops, and fish, along with dessert and beverages.
Oswego County Legislature Chairman Fred C. Beardsley recently presented a proclamation designating the month of March as American Red Cross Month in Oswego County.
“The Titanic Event Committee would like to thank the owners of the Beacon Hotel, Felacia and Atom Avery, for hosting this community event,” said Mercedes Niess, executive director of the museum. “They have done a marvelous job restoring and renovating this early 1900s historic structure and it was the perfect setting for our step back in time.”
More than 65 masons and their ladies attended a dinner and program celebrating the life of Mason and first President George Washington. The senior Past Master of the lodge was honored with a certificate signed by the Grand Master of New York Grand Lodge Vincent Libone and a 65-year pin. Also honored for 65 years was Edwin Trudeau.
