Small Equipment Fire Reported At Nine Mile
Nine Mile Point experienced a small fire that was in progress for greater than 15 minutes today. An Unusual Event was declared at 3:05 p.m. The fire was extinguished at 3:08 p.m. Nine Mile Point exited the Unusual Event at 4 p.m. “The event posed no risk to the public or to plant employees. Appropriate officials and personnel were notified,” a plant spokesperson said.

Joseph Castiglia, 91, of Fulton and formerly of Sandpiper Golf and Country Club Lakeland, Fla., passed away Thursday June 21, 2012, at Seneca Hill Manor after a long illness.
