One of the official signs of summer in Oswego is the Independence Celebration, which will be held on Sunday, July 1 beginning with the 49th Annual Independence Parade at 1 p.m.
HEART of Oswego County, Humane Education & Animal Rescue Team, wants to hold a fund-raiser at the pavilion at Breitbeck Park on Aug. 26. The group was formed recently to help educate, raise money, help animals and animal rescue in the area
The State Senate voted Thursday to approve major legislation sponsored by Senator Patty Ritchie to marshall financial resources and target state efforts to search for a vaccine to prevent EEE and other vexing diseases, and help protect the lives of New Yorkers.
Academic Year in America is bringing close to 1,000 high school exchange students to the U.S. in August from more than 30 countries. The Fulton high school girls’ lacrosse team had an outstanding season, finishing with a 15 and 4 record; winning the OHSL Freedom League Championship and had an outstanding effort in the State Class B Championship. On Tuesday night, they were honored by the Fulton council.
