Kites Soar At Fort Ontario – In Spite of the Rain
The skies over historic Fort Ontario were filled with rain – and kites on Saturday. Dozens of people, young and old, braved the elements to take part in the annual event. Several crafters, artists, artisans and others hunkered down outside the landmark until the skies cleared.

What’s Up With the Colored Fire Hydrants?
Through their hydrant testing program, the department has been testing and painting the tops per NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) guidelines. The different colors indicate the amount of water flow for that particular hydrant which will improve overall efficiency.
