Lavery Earns Second Career Classic Pole, Fastest Field in History

Of the 37 Novelis Supermodifieds to take time, 24 clocked in under the 17-second bracket, the most in history.  When it was all said and done Oswego native Pat Lavery, in the Double Deuce Racing No. 22, stood above the rest with a lap of 16.242 seconds, and will lead the field to green on Sunday.

Jeremy Pitcher Pockets $1,500 with Sportsman Classic Victory

For the first time in Classic Weekend history the 602 Crate Dirt Sportsman took to the ‘Steel Palace’ oval and at the end of 30-laps it was Fulton’s Jeremy Pitcher standing in Chris Nelson Insurance Victory Lane with a check for $1,500.

SandbridgeSandbridge is a long stretch of beach south of the hotel resort area of Virginia Beach. The beach is lined with houses, actually several rows of houses, but even though it was peak season the beach never felt crowded. The waves were great for playing in and for boggie boarding.
