Owner, baker and cake designer Kathy Hotaling said her shop celebrated their third anniversary in May and she hopes this open house will serve to enlighten the community to all her business has to offer.
Cynthia Clabough will take on the pain of loss by reconvening family and environment, giving new life to those in her past in a free mixed-media exhibition to open Oct. 19, at SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery.
The Sixth Ward Neighborhood Watch group will be meeting at the Fulton Education Center, 167 S. Fourth St., from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium on the following dates:

Bus drills are done twice a year to prepare them for riding the bus when they go to elementary school.
Oswego County Opportunities Literacy Volunteers Program is offering a
tutor orientation for its 2012 fall season on October 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. The tutor orientation will be held at OCO’s Midtown Plaza offices located at 75 E. First St.
Oswego County OB-GYN, P.C is pleased to announce the August Baby of the Month. The August baby is Celia Thompson who was born to Sara Beers and Travis Thompson of Oswego on August 14 by Daniel Coty, D.O. at Oswego Hospital.
A letter of commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented to Loftus by school principal Donna Parkhurst.
Nearly 70 people packed the Council Chamber Wednesday night for a town hall meeting with the Oswego Common Council. Comments focused on many quality of life issues. Several speakers gave the council suggestions for improving the city, including increasing the amount for fines regarding zoning and other violations.
