The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team (12-11-1, 10-6-0 ECAC West) fell behind early, but tallied three unanswered goals to defeat Cortland (6-16-1, 6-10-0), 3-1, Saturday afternoon.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team (17-8, 11-7 SUNYAC) was unable to overcome 26 turnovers, as it fell to Plattsburgh (14-11, 10-8 SUNYAC), 65-47, Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, Oswego State is still the No. 3 seed in the upcoming SUNYAC playoffs.
Charles Cieszeski, 89, of Fulton, passed away Saturday February 16, 2013.
The Oswego State wrestling team (3-11) closed out the regular season with a 43-6 loss at nationally 11th-ranked Wesleyan College (15-7) Saturday afternoon.
The Oswego County Youth Advisory Council will host a Family Bowling Day from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 20 at Lighthouse Lanes. Admission is $10 per person or $30 for four people and includes two hours of bowling, shoe rental and arcade tokens. It is open to the public.

Nicole Cortes of Pulaski, a fourth year School of Pharmacy and Health Professions student at Creighton University, was named to the fall Dean’s List for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Charrise Kidd, president of the Fulton Noon Rotary Club this year, welcomed Mary Costigan as the newest member of the club. Mary is the director of the Michaud Nursing Home in Fulton.
