Oswego War of 1812 Symposium Explores Military Training and Tactics
The symposium runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 6 and from 9 a.m. to noon on April 7. There will be a meet-and-greet social with cash bar, a presentation of the painting of the Brig Oneida by Oswego artist Tim Ames, and early registration from 6 to 9 p.m. April 5.

I have always heard that a dog’s mouth, on average, is cleaner than a human’s mouth. In fact, they say that dog saliva is an antiseptic and that is why dogs lick at wounds. I use that fact to justify my habit of kissing my dog, Spot, (OK so he’s a Dalmatian).

Law Requires Parent or Guardian’s Consent for Body Piercing of Minors
As of October 28, 2012, a new law took effect that prohibits body piercing on a person under 18 years of age unless the person provides the body piercing establishment with written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
