Russ Brown, Ray Hedger Return Full-Time to Oswego Speedway

After a three year hiatus, four-time Oswego Speedway Pathfinder Bank SBS champion Russ Brown will make his full-time return to the ‘Steel Palace’ in 2013, once again teamed with car builder Ray Hedger. Brown will pilot the same No. 13 Hedger chassis that he drove to a fifth place finish in last year’s Bud Light SBS Classic.

Oswego resident Emilie Benigno performed in the Second Violin section with the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra at the Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on April 19. Home to the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has been called by Frommer’s Travel Guides as “New York City’s foremost institution.”

Young Artists Needed for Oswego Mural Project

Last year, 17 students completed 20 murals along the river walk. “Organizers are looking to expand that number this year and to complete even more murals,” said Dawn Metott of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. “Thanks to a very generous donation of supplies from Raby’s Ace Home Center, we are set to begin.” An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. May 14 at the Oswego YMCA Armory with young artists and their parents.
