On Earth Day, April 22, Plant-a-Tree program coordinators and sponsors met with students in Roger Sprague’s class at the Kingsford Park Elementary School to deliver Norway spruce seedlings and educational materials for grades kindergarten through fifth.

Two distinguished State University of New York educators will address SUNY Oswego’s graduates at the 152nd Commencement on May 18.

The Arts Center, located in the State Street Methodist Church at 357 State St. in Fulton, is presenting the new adaptation of the old classic as part of its debut season.

Wal-Mart associates Peter Groves and Lori Lyons accept a donation of children books during a book drive in support of the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County’s annual Children’s Book Drive.

Several local residents took part in internships this spring through SUNY Oswego’s Experience-Based Education program.

Patty Ritchie is currently collecting books for a children’s book drive, sponsored by the United Way of Oswego County and the Literacy Coalition of Oswego County. New and gently used books may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at her office, on the first floor of 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego.

Harry Boltz a resident of Fulton was honored at Champlain College’s annual awards dinner for the Division of Communication and Creative Media. Boltz, a senior majoring in Game Art and Animation, received the Distinguished Community Member Game Art and Animation Award.

At a recent Fulton Noon Rotary Club meeting, Rotarian Mary Costigan, introduced Greg Osetek, the community relations director for St. Luke’s Family of Caring. Greg gave an overview of the different types of elder care services offered in the greater Oswego County area.

Jordan Ferlito and Maria Warner recently had their artwork appear in the Youth Art Month exhibit at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center. The Charles E. Riley student work was on display throughout the month of March.
