Oswego County BOCES Career and Technical Education students in the Public Safety and Justice program participated in a multi-day training session at the Oswego County Emergency Response and Training Center.
A celebration of academic success was conducted recently to honor Oswego Middle School seventh and eighth graders. The ninth Oswego Middle School Top 50 Dinner was held at the Oswego Elks Club and once again parents, families, friends, teachers, administrators and board of education members congratulated the students who have worked diligently in the classroom and at home to earn deserved recognition.
Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Junior High School recently held its spring concert which was dedicated to the men and women of the Armed Services. Several veterans and active duty military personnel were on hand and recognized during the final song entitled “Thank You Soldiers.”
Volney Elementary School students were recently recognized by their principal and teachers for demonstrating role model behavior and a marked improvement in their studies during a special assembly at the school.
Richard “Rich” LaDue, 61 of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Robert J. Howland, 67, of Oswego Town, died Wednesday morning May 29, 2013, in Oswego Hospital.
Emma Louise Watros was born in Oswego Hospital on May 26, 2013.
