At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Dan Farfaglia introduced Dr. Jiancheng Huang, director of Oswego County Health Department. Dr. Huang presented an engaging powerpoint and discussion of diseases spread by insects and animals in the wild. He made a very important point that it is crucial to focus on prevention of these diseases.

My dog, who has been with me since he was a puppy, is now 13. I guess that makes him about 91 in human years. He has always been well behaved and totally friendly, but suddenly he has started to bark for no apparent reason and sometimes when I am petting him or brushing him he just wanders off as though he doesn’t enjoy that attention any more. It makes me really sad to think that he may have some sort of dementia
The Fulton Art Association awarded two deserving Fulton seniors for their achievements in art and photography at their graduation ceremony on June 22. Sara Koblentz and Meredith Williams (art teachers) of G. Ray Bodley High School selected the recipients of the two $100 scholarships.
This Fourth of July weekend coming up marks the opening of the Oswego Players 75th Anniversary summer musical production of “Mame.” Directors Inez Manor Parker and Abel Searor are pleased to have Rita Worlock, an award-nominated Syracuse actress, playing the choice role of Agnes Gooch. Worlock is very excited about this, as it is one of her favorite roles from the past.

The Oswego Children’s Theater is Looking for a Few Good Whos for “Seussical.” The Oswego Children’s Theater is looking for additional aspiring young actors to fill out the cast, of its next production “Seussical the Musical.” Participation in this production is open to all area children and youth.
