Grassroots Group Looks To Start Children’s Museum in Port City

This won’t be your ‘typical’ museum, organizers said. It’s going to be hands-on experience with self-directed play for the kids. Exhibits  will focus on aspects of current and historical local significance, imaginative play, the arts, science and mathematics. Children will be encouraged to touch, move, build, make noise and explore.

Rural Health Network of Oswego County offers Health Care Scholarships

County residents pursuing a career in the health care field may be able to receive some extra financial aid courtesy of the Rural Health Network of Oswego County. Coordinator, Danielle Wert, has announced that the group will once again offer scholarships to Oswego County residents who are enrolled or have been accepted in to a University / College or recognized program and are pursuing a major in the health care field.

Elementary library writing project to be shared through video connection

The Sandy Creek Elementary School library, staffed this year by Teresa Crast, is where many students as kindergarten and first graders, will learn to love books and reading. In a very special project by Crast, it is also where they will learn to be authors, illustrators and even storytellers themselves.

Fulton Lions Club Makes Improvements At Oswego Falls Park

Members of the Fulton Lions Club recently spread new mulch and cleared trees and brush recently as part of a cleanup project at Fulton’s Oswego Falls Park on South First Street, said David Dingman, Fulton Lions Club president. This is the fifth consecutive year that the club has made work at the park one of its annual projects.
