At its meeting Tuesday night, the board of education decided to appoint someone to fill the seat vacated by Jim Tschudy’s resignation last month. The term would be just for the remainder of the term. Those interested need apply by Aug. 27.
At about 8:55 Sunday night, a 1998 Audi was traveling southwest on Bonstead Road near the Route 481 overpass in the town of Clay when it crashed, killing the passenger. The suspected driver, who fled the scene, turned himself in this evening.
Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus and West Nile virus (WNV) were found in mosquito pools collected in Oswego County Aug. 7, the Oswego County Health Department announced this afternoon (Aug. 13).
