Sandra Scott Travels: View The Works Of ‘The Interpreter of the West’
Of Frederic Remington, Teddy Roosevelt said, “The soldier, the cowboy and rancher, the Indian, the horses and the cattle of the plains will live in his pictures and bronzes, I verily believe all time.” In the late 1800s, Remington popularized the West through his illustrations in a variety of magazines including “Harper’s Weekly” and “Boy’s Life.” He has been hailed as “The Interpreter of the West.”
Oswego County Plans Aerial Spraying Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings
Aerial spraying is being conducted as a preventative measure to reduce the chances of a person contracting the Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) virus, which is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. Due to the size of the area, spraying cannot be completed in one evening. Aerial spraying will start after 6 p.m.
Sandy Creek to dedicate press box in memory of their #1 fan
On September 13 the Sandy Creek Stadium Press Box will be dedicated to Sue Bitz before the start of the first home game at 5:30 p.m. Sue lost her battle with cancer on July 27, but her spirit and legacy will live on in the lives she touched and the students she inspired.

The open house was held before the start of school to allow students and their parents/guardians an opportunity to meet the teachers and staff members and familiarize themselves with the building before the start of school.

Dorothy H. Hall, 95, of Fulton, died Thursday September 5, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.

Fulton PD Welcomes Two New Officers
At a recent meeting of the Fire and Police Commission, two new police officers were appointed to the Fulton Police Department. The officers, Thomas Yawger and Thomas Pappa, are filling two current vacancies within the police department. The new officers began a week-long orientation with the Fulton Police Department on September 3.
