October was national Domestic Violence Awareness Month. While I realize we are now in November, because I missed writing about this topic last month and because I strongly believe we need to continue to raise awareness about domestic violence, I am writing about this issue this month.
Model train show chugs into Fulton
Pulling into the platforms just in time for the holidays, the Oswego Valley Railroad Association’s 32nd annual Holiday Express model train show. Located at the Fulton War Memorial, everything train related could be enjoyed here over the weekend. From antique model locomotives traveling through scenic backdrops, to steam blowers, Lego trains, Thomas the Train and memorabilia, the Holiday Express was sure to impress.

Shineman Foundation Supports CYO Program
When the Richard S. Shineman Foundation was established one of its goals was to mirror the deep compassion for community that Mr. Shineman had and improve the quality of life in the counties that it serves. The CYO program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County proved to be a perfect match for that goal.
