Jeff Hendrickson, Principal at Lanigan Elementary School recently honored students for demonstrating the Fulton City School District’s virtue of the month for December which is empathy.
Volunteers from the Sandy Creek National Honor Society spent several hours ensuring that hundreds of less fortunate children in the Sandy Creek area had a happy Christmas morning and their families had a wonderful holiday meal this year. The students, along with their advisor, Casey Vallance, volunteered their time and energy to help local community groups wrap and box the holiday goodwill.

In spite of snow and cold, CNY Arts Center’s Gifts of the Season Dinner Cabaret was a fun-filled evening and a resounding success. In a vivid décor of purple and gold, more than 70 guests enjoyed a menu of roast beef, glazed chicken, roasted vegetables and salad prepared by Chef Joshua Lamb, with holiday pies from Treat Me Sweet.
Fulton Rotarian Nancy Kush Ellis introduced Nancy Fox from the CNY Arts Center at a recent Rotary meeting. Fox was very enthusiastic in reporting that CNY Arts is now three years old and continues to grow.
Assemblyman Will Barclay said Wednesday he is in support of a proposed code change to allow family farms temporary use permits. If enacted, agricultural producers would be able to open their facilities to visitors on weekends and farms would be able to host special events on premise, as long as facilities were deemed safe by the state.
