The Oswego Middle School Holiday Food Drive and Hallway Decoration Contest had a successful conclusion. More than 1,400 food items will be donated to the Salvation Army.
With cases of flu increasing, the Oswego County Health Department is urging residents to stay home if they are sick and follow other preventive measures to limit the spread of the flu. “Flu activity is currently present in Oswego County and increasing across New York State,” said Jiancheng Huang, Oswego County Public Health Director.

A bill sponsored by State Senator Patty Ritchie that seeks to use the tremendous buying power of state government to boost purchases of locally grown foods for use in state prisons, hospitals and other agencies has been signed into law by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
