After spending the last nine years in the North Collins School District in Erie County, Ben Halsey is returning to Central New York. On Tuesday afternoon, he was officially hired by the school board during a brief meeting. Immediately after the meeting he signed a three-year one-month deal commencing Dec. 2 through Dec. 31, 2016.
Benjamin Jimenez Jr., 23, of Fulton, died Sunday October 27, 2013, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after suffering injuries in an accident.
Monsters invaded Desiree Moore’s third-grade classroom on Tuesday and spread south into the Cicero North Syracuse School District as part of a distance learning initiative between Oswego County BOCES and the Phoenix Central School District. The program, Monster Match, pairs a local class with one outside of the county, and each class creates a monster using materials from a list provided.
Students in Yvette Gigliotti’s third-grade class at Fairley Elementary School realized they had much to be thankful for, as they rattled off dozens of reasons during Family Fall Fun Night on Monday.
