Oswego County contracted with Duflo Spray-Chemical Inc. from Lowville to conduct the aerial spraying of about 10,000 acres of the Toad Harbor / Big Bay Swamp on the north shore of Oneida Lake to reduce the spread of the Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) virus, which is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito.

John DeHollander, director of the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District, presented an update on invasive species control practices during the Oswego County Legislature’s meeting in Pulaski.
The Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning is compiling a list of events and activities to include in its “Winter in Oswego County” brochure. The brochure will list events in Oswego County that take place between Nov. 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.
Maybe if the Republicans want to be honest with the taxpayers, they will disclose the names of all the friends and relatives they’ve gotten jobs for, and those they created positions for.
