Alexander Tulowiecki from Hastings was named to the spring 2013 Dean’s List at Wake Forest University. Students who achieve a 3.4 and no grade below a C were named to the list.

In the case of the exercise no news is good news, as neither FEMA nor the NRC found anything critical that needed to be immediately addressed. “The preliminary results were positive,” said Steve Barr, senior emergency preparedness inspector for the NRC.
Returning from Ohio we decided to take Route 86 East instead of our usual way along the NYS Thruway to Buffalo and then east. The Route 86 exit is near the New York Pennsylvania border. The area in the southwest corner of New York State is called “The Enchanted Mountains.” It is a beautiful drive with rolling hills, farms and forests and scenic stops.
The New York State Police in Pulaski investigated a two-vehicle minor personal injury accident that occurred on Interstate 81 northbound in the town of Richland at approximately noon June 21. Both drivers were taken to Upstate Hospital, Syracuse, and treated for minor injuries. One of them was charged with DWI.
The village of Mexico captured the title of Oswego County’s best-tasting drinking water in an informal contest held June 13 at the Oswego Farmers’ Market. Five municipal water districts took part in the 23rd annual contest.
