New York Air National Guard Suspends Search for MQ-9 Debris Along Lake Ontario Shoreline
The 174th Attack Wing has suspended the ground search for debris from the New York Air National Guard which crashed into Lake Ontario on Nov. 12 during a routine training mission. The 174th Attack Wing is asking that if members of the public find any aircraft debris that they call the wing’s Emergency Operations Center at 315-233-2257 or 2258.

Oswego School Board Hears About Tenure, Common Core
In his final regular meeting as Interim Superintendent of Schools, Gary Mix talked about concern about some of the recent educational changes that have been implemented by the State Education Department and the importance of tenure. “Granting tenure acknowledges performance, awareness of greater potential, confidence in that he educator will continue to grow to be a very positive role model for our students,” Mix said. The Oswego State men’s basketball team went on a 13-2 run in overtime to defeat St. Lawrence University 90-84 on the road in Burkman Gymnasium.Oswego improves to 3-1 on the season with four reaching double figures in scoring, led by Brian Sortino’s 21 points and Mark Candelario’s 20 points.

The nationally-ranked Oswego State fell 7-4 to No. 15 SUNY Geneseo in Wilson Ice Arena on Friday night. With the loss, Oswego falls to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in SUNYAC play.

Catholic Charities Receives Support from St. Luke Health Services Employees this Holiday Season
In anticipation of the approaching holiday season, staff at St. Luke Health Services held a “Food Drive” to benefit Catholic Charities of Oswego County. For a donation of a canned or boxed food item, St. Luke staff was able to dress casually for the day in support of Catholic Charities and their annual Holiday Food Drive.
