‘Go Big!’ exhibition of art students’ large-scale works to open
The “Go Big!” exhibition, featuring large works and installations by students of art department faculty member Roxanne Jackson, will run through Feb. 8 at the downtown gallery and branch of the College Store, corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.
College enhances Oswego Guarantee with 4-year graduation incentive
Starting with the December 2013 graduating class, students who enrolled at SUNY Oswego as freshmen in the fall 2010, or subsequent fall, semester and graduate no later than May of their fourth consecutive year, and meet all other requirements of the Oswego Guarantee, will receive the $300 Oswego Graduation Return on Investment.

Miriam Jiménez of the SUNY Oswego political science faculty published her first book last month, using a database she built from scratch and years of research to construct a micro-political model for the rise of ethnic minorities in Congress, full of their stories and creative electoral strategies.

Fulton Approved For State Financial Restructuring Board Program
Fulton is one of the first of two cities to apply for aid from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Financial Restructuring Board for Local Governments. On Tuesday, Fulton’s application for a comprehensive review of its finances was accepted. To participate in the program, Fulton must abide by some of the suggestions the FRB comes up with. The city could get assistance in the form of a grant up to $5 million.
