In a split vote Monday night, the Common Council approved salary hikes for its president and vice president. The vote to approve the rules of the council, including the salary adjustments, was passed 5-2 with Councilor Dan Donovan and Councilor Shawn Walker voting “absolutely not.”
The Fulton Public Library is introducing a Read 4 Your Health series this month and has extended its Saturday hours of service to now be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., it was announced by Betty Mauté, FPL director.

Sharon C. Parkhurst, 55, of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, formerly of Fulton, NY, passed away on Friday January 11, 2013, at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica after a sudden illness.
