OCO Retro Bowl: Who will be this year’s honorary co-chairs?
The OCO “Retro Bowl” is the theme for the agency’s annual bowling tournament fund raiser. Set for April 5, from noon – 6 p.m. at Lakeview Lanes, this popular event will raise money to help feed the hungry throughout Oswego County.

Several area residents have been named to the President’s List for the fall 2013 semester at SUNY Oswego. Students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale are named to the President’s List, the top 7.7 of Oswego students.

Lacona man struck and killed by train while riding snowmobile on train tracks
The investigation revealed that the victim, Bernard C. Joss, 04/10/58, of Lacona, was riding his 2002 Polaris 700 snowmobile on the train tracks when his sled apparently became stuck on the rails. Despite the oncoming train, Joss reportedly continued to attempt to free his sled from the tracks before being struck.
