Great Lakes Seaway Trail travel promoters invite cold season enthusiasts to visit the 518-mile-long National Scenic Byway region along the freshwater coastlines of New York and Pennsylvania to enjoy winter fun from wind skating and snowmobile trails galore to wine tastings and a frosty War of 1812 battle reenactment.
The Fulton Area Snow Travelers are a snowmobile club in Fulton. They have hosted the Whiteout Antique and Vintage Snowmobile Show and Swapmeet for four years. This year’s event will be held on Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Fulton War Memorial, 609 West Broadway, Fulton.
Nicholas Fisher, of Fulton, was among 31 men who were ordained to the priesthood by His Eminence Cardinal Velasio de Paolis, CS, Pontifical Delegate for the Legionaries of Christ on December 14, 2013, at the Papal Basilica of St. John Lateran, Rome, Italy. Of the 31 new priests, eight are American. Father Nicholas said he had the beginnings of a calling as young child living in New York State.
Sandie Szatanek, 66, of Baldwinsville, went home to her eternal father Monday January 6, 2014, with her family by her side.

The Oswego County Pioneer Search and Rescue Team will conduct its second Search and Rescue Academy during the late winter and spring of 2014. Class size is limited to 24 individuals. Classes will start March 6 and end June 15.
