Dr. Christine Allen will share some important ways that many women speak, talk and interact which limit their power and effectiveness at the next Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training’s monthly breakfast meeting, April 3 at 8 a.m. at the SUNY Oswego Phoenix Center in the Oswego County Industrial Park, Phoenix (exit 14, State Route 481).
The residents of The Manor at Seneca Hill enjoyed a cake decorating demonstration provided by Bob Bateman, owner of Cakes Galore in Oswego.

More than 70 parents, children and volunteers took part in a “Get Connected Block Party” hosted by the Leighton Home and School Association and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau in late January. The event was so successful they are planning another Lego night for March 28.

Michael A. Maroun Elementary School, in conjunction with grant funds received from Target Stores, welcomed performer and teaching artist Dave Ruch to the school recently. His visit coincided with National Music In Our Schools Month and gave students an opportunity to learn about various countries, communities and cultures through music.

The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for cats, dogs, and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. March 26, at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 31 Schaad Drive, Scriba. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.
