Granby Elementary was treated to a royal parade recently, as Kindergarten teachers lead their students through the halls, wearing jeweled crowns and carrying scepters. The parade was part of a culminating activity on the Common Core listening and speaking unit on kings and queens.
Hot air balloons will take to the skies over the Sandy Creek Fairgrounds and there will be plenty of action on solid ground with music, a petting zoo, crafts and vendors June 6, 7 and 8 at the Oswego County Balloon Festival. The event opens at 3 p.m. June 6, and closes with music by Frostbit Blue June 8.
Gertrude M. Kersey, 86, a resident of Lycoming, passed away on Sunday March 16, 2014, at Seneca Hill Manor.
