Two AmeriCorps members are doing a community project together at Catholic Charities in Fulton. For the project they are having a “community baby shower.” The event is being held from 3 to 6 p.m. today (May 20) at Catholic Charities, 365 W. First St.
Live high definition streaming video will be available from Oswego Speedway this Saturday, featuring the Memorial Day Weekend Triple Header at the ‘Steel Palace.’
Girls in grades 9 through 12 can get a jump on their futures by networking with some top women executives at the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways second Camp CEO. Girls will be paired up with a women executive and join them in traditional camp activities while participating in mentoring programs and workshops.

The Hawks R/C Junior Aviators are beginning their 13th summer flying season this year teaching kids and young adults how to fly Radio Control model aircraft. We’re looking for several additional youngsters like you who have an interest in things that fly. The Hawk’s program is provided free of charge to local youth in the greater Oswego County area.
“We spent about 95 percent of our time when we had codes, doing inspections. That’s pretty much all we do, leaving little time for enforcement,” Councilor Mike Todd said. “Nothing really gets done with enforcement. We need to get to a point where we have some teeth to go after these houses and start cleaning them up.” He proposed a scale of fines up to $5,000 as well as immediate eviction of problem tenants.
On May 16, Andrew J. Galluzi, 21, of 39 Manorview Way Manorville, NY, was arrested in Suffolk County New York based upon an Oswego County Court arrest warrant. Galluzi was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility to await arraignment in Oswego County Court.
