For seniors and older adults the results of falling can bring devastating consequences. In an effort to help prevent falls and help frail elders achieve better balance the Rural Health Network of Oswego County established the Oswego County Falls Prevention Coalition.
Rosario “Charlie” Licciardello, 95, of Pine Bush, NY, formerly of Fulton, passed away on Friday February 28, 2014.
Steven DeLisle, a Sophomore from Fulton was a member of the 2014 SUNY Oneonta men’s lacrosse team. The team finished 5-11 overall this season. The Red Dragons finished 3-3 in the SUNYAC and qualified for the conference tournament.
“Together we can beat diabetes!” Those are the words that Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Physical Therapist Daniel Pone said as he high-fived each first grade student in the district’s elementary school during a celebration to honor the students for their participation in a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association.
The 24th Annual Lady Buccaneer Softball Mini Camp will be held June 30 – July 2 at the Oswego High School fields for girls ages 9-16 who want to sharpen their skills and have some softball fun.

Barbara May (Shutts) Gifford, 89, of Hannibal, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 15, 2014, at Oswego Hospital.
For the fourth consecutive week the Oswego Kartway Kickoff is being postponed due to rain showers and wet grounds. The Kartway Kickoff will now move to Memorial Day Weekend, meaning main events will run five extra laps to begin the championship season on May 23. With yet another rain out, all of the Kartway’s designated rain dates are now being utilized.
