The New York State Police in Pulaski is currently investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on May 8, along County Route 17 in the town of Constantia between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. A juvenile male was walking on the side of the roadway when he was approached by a black, four-door car having dark tinted windows.
Mayor Tom Gillen announced that the city of Oswego’s water treatment plant will be starting construction on upgrades to the facility. The initial work will involve rebuilding filters and will reduce the production capacity of the plant by 25 percent while the work is in progress, which is anticipated to be three weeks.

Titus Andronicus is a rock band that started in 2005. They are touring the east coast this summer and will be making an appearance in Oswego.
“These people made a bad decision to get in the car with someone who had been drinking,” said Stop DWI instructor Cathy McPherson as she surveyed the mock accident scene. “You may be faced with the same decision. I hope you see all the people who are affected by this accident and think about that when you consider getting into a car with someone who has been drinking.”
