Due to the recent withdrawal of a candidate for the office of school board member, the Sandy Creek Central School District has extended the deadline to May 13 for filing petitions for nominating candidates for the office of board member.

Mayor Tom Gillen cast the deciding vote Thursday night to approve the city’s fire department leasing an ambulance for the next 60 days. The vote was 3-3 with Second Ward Councilor Mike Myers excused.
