Operators returned Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 2 to full power today (May 2) after successfully completing the station’s spring refueling outage that began in late March.
Oswego Kartway Kickoff Postponed Due to Wet Grounds
Oswego Kartway’s championship Kickoff has been postponed yet again to Friday, May 9 due to continued saturated grounds from a week of rains and gray skies.With the cancellation the Kartway will now also utilize their second rain date of the season on July 25.
Fulton Police, Oswego County Stop DWI Hold Mock DWI Event
Every other year, the event is held for GRB’s juniors and seniors just before the Junior Prom and Senior Dinner Dance to warn them of the real dangers of driving drunk. The added danger of texting while driving was also a factor in the mock crash. The event, which commenced at about 8 a.m., simulated a fatal head-on drunk driving crash involving real students as actors.
