In an early season where the rainy weather doesn’t want to seem to give up, wet grounds has forced the cancellation of racing for May 3 at the Fulton Speedway. On May 10 Tracey Road Equipment will present a night of family, fast, affordable fun on Girl Scout Night.

According to Debbie Richardson, Hannibal School District’s food service coordinator, the government’s new standards set specific nutritional requirements on grains, fruits and vegetables, sodium levels, calorie levels and sugar grams. As a result of these new requirements, Hannibal School District began implementing changes to the menus in 2013 and will gradually continue to make changes over a five-year period, Richardson said.
The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on May 18, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be ham, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert.
President of Oswego County Opportunities’ board of directors Connie Cosemento recognized outgoing board members at OCO’s annual meeting held April 23 at Springside at Seneca Hill. The individuals were honored for their years of dedicated service to OCO as members of the agency’s board of directors.

Pulaski High School track and field standout Breann Burns signed a letter of intent to the University of Rhode Island where she will run hurdles for their team. Burns, a senior at the school signed her letter during a special ceremony held in the library before a host of family, friends and faculty in the district.
During a cool and cloudy Thursday evening test session, when most thought rain would again win the battle at Oswego Speedway, Mike Bond turned the fastest recorded lap in Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super history just days before the series opens for racing this Saturday.
